Things to Look at When Hiring a Car in Uganda

April 1, 2022by admin0 comments

Car hire Uganda is becoming popular in the country as many travellers touring and visiting various places are resorting to it as the best transport means. If you are planning to travel to Uganda, transport shouldn’t be on your worry list.

Many travel agencies are available to help you out on your pending transport issue. They are scattered in different parts of Uganda most especially in Kampala, to extend quick and safe transport to whoever is in need.

The car rental companies have many vehicles in stock for road trips, guided tours, personal business, wedding transportation, vacations, documentary and filming safaris, family trips, city rounds and many others. They even offer self drive travel and at times provide a driver in case you request one. The prices are friendly and negotiable depending on the period of your tour. Car hire agencies deal mostly in 4×4 cars Uganda such as super custom, safari vans basically for family vacations, safari land cruiser Prado like TX, GX and VX, RAV 4, safari land cruiser extended and saloon cars like Toyota Premio for city rounds. Follow the guidelines for hiring a car in Uganda to avoid trouble.

Authenticity

Quantity doesn’t mean quality so it’s better to look out for an authentic car hire agency. There are indeed many car rental agencies but a few provide quality and authentic car hire services. I would advise you to look out for reviews on the website and if clients say positive things about the company then you’re good to go but if the negativity outmatches the positive things please think twice. Book with the right car hire Uganda to avoid upsets on your journey.

A copy of a valid driver’s permit

Any person to drive a car in any given country must have a driver’s license or permit. This indicates that you are authorized by the government to drive on its streets without restrictions. Presenting a copy will act as evidence that the car is in good hands and will be brought back in proper mechanical conditions. Any driving document from foreigners is accepted with a validity of more than three months is accepted.

Minimum age

18 years and above is the legal age approved by the government for one to drive. Car hire agencies do not offer their cars to minors rather they give them out if they are to be assisted by professional drivers with a valid driving permit. Some Car rental companies also don’t offer their vehicles to elderly people of 80 years and above for self-drive but others do so depending on their terms and conditions.

Present travel details

The travel plan includes many things that are looked upon by car rental companies before handing over their vehicles to the client for a trip. The details should include the flight arrival, departure and safari itinerary to enable the company to reserve and provide the requested car on time. This travel itinerary enables the agency to choose the best car which can accommodate the number of travellers. The information can be used to track or find the client in case of any problem.

A few criteria are considered and this should not scare you off from hiring a car in Uganda. We provide the best cars perfect for safaris at a friendly and affordable price. Book and we drop it at the place of your request.
